Playing

Jammywind runs a number of server-side scripts, to make playing Morrowind with others less awkward. This page is intended to teach you how to use these new features and commands.

Chatbox:

The chatbox is a standard feature of TES3MP, but it is vital, not only for communication, but for accessing server commands. You can start a new message by pressing 'y'. Try inputting '/help' for a list of basic commands.

/list

Another TES3MP standard, but one worth committing to memory. This command will list all players currently online, as well as their player ID number, which is needed to send messages.

/msg

Send a message to another player, similar to a 'tell' in an MMO or MUD. In place of the player's name, use their ID number instead (see '/list' above for more details). For example, if I wanted to message somebody who was player 6, I would type '/msg 6 Hi this is a message'.

/group

This will give you access to a menu where you can create a group, and invite other players to join it. You can also use this menu to teleport to other group members, or send a group-wide message Ensure you have created a group before trying to invite others to it. This is a community script written by rickoff.

Banks:

This server uses Atkana's kanaBank script, which allows players to store their items and gold in a bank, like in an MMO. Currently there are two banks, in Balmora and Pelegiad, but more are planned.

Cell Reset:

Thanks again to Atkana. This server resets each 'cell' (an area of the game world) every two hours, if possible. This means loot and monsters will respawn, and scripted events will be refreshed.
